Compass Light is so excited to welcome clients to our fully renovated upscale medical spa in the heart of Cohasset Village, right on the corner of South Main Street and Stagecoach Way. Our coastal inspired space is truly a spa retreat where our clients can come to relax, rejuvenate, and have the opportunity to provide themselves with a necessary dose of self-love!


Compass Light offers a large and inviting lounge area for our clients to relax and wait for an array of available treatments in one of our three private treatment rooms or to gather with a group of friends to have a scheduled spa day to celebrate any special occasion. Alysia O’Brien, APRN, MSN, NP-C

Founder, owner, and Medical director

As Founder and Medical Director of Compass Light Med Spa, Alysia believes aesthetic medicine should be rooted in medical expertise, artistic precision, and individualized care.


Alysia earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2005, her Master of Science in Nursing in 2010, and became a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner in 2026. She has spent more than 20 years at Shriners Children's Boston caring for acutely and critically injured children with complex burn injuries while specializing in the reconstructive and plastic surgical care of burn survivors. This unique experience provided an exceptional foundation in skin anatomy, wound healing, scar prevention, and the intricate supportive structures of the face and body.


Throughout her career, Alysia collaborated in the care of thousands of patients alongside nationally recognized burn and plastic surgeons from Massachusetts General Hospital and Shriners. She also worked closely with Harvard Plastic Surgery residents and fellows during their specialized training, further expanding her expertise in anatomy, reconstructive surgery, and meticulous technique.


Today, Alysia combines her extensive reconstructive surgery background with advanced expertise in aesthetic medicine to provide safe, evidence-based treatments that enhance natural beauty while prioritizing long-term skin health. Her thoughtful, conservative approach and unwavering commitment to patient safety are the foundation of every treatment she performs.

    Beyond her professional career, Alysia is a proud wife and mother of three. She and her husband, Danny, are raising their family on the South Shore, where family is at the heart of everything they do. When she's not caring for patients at Compass Light, you'll most likely find her at the beach or cheering on her three children—Colin, Emily, and Rinnie—from the sidelines of a hockey rink, lacrosse field, or concert band performance.

Lauren McDonough

APRN, MSN, NP-C

Lauren is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over four years of experience in aesthetic medicine, bringing a thoughtful, safety-first approach to every patient interaction.


Her clinical foundation includes serving as an emergency department nurse at Massachusetts General Hospital, where she developed advanced assessment skills, clinical precision, and a steadfast commitment to patient-centered care—all of which continue to shape her approach to aesthetic medicine today.


Lauren has completed extensive advanced training in cosmetic injectables, including neuromodulators, dermal fillers, and biostimulators. She is known for delivering natural, balanced, and results-driven outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of safety and clinical excellence.



As a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Lauren combines advanced medical expertise with an artistic eye to create personalized treatment plans that enhance each patient's natural features. Her philosophy centers on achieving refreshed, balanced results while supporting long-term skin health and aging gracefully.

    Outside of the treatment room, Lauren is in a joyful time of life — currently planning her wedding for May 2027. She loves taking Pilates classes, walking her dog, and spending time with family and friends, especially by the beach — a lifestyle that perfectly reflects the coastal calm and intentional self-care philosophy of Compass Light.



Christina Hauck

LEAD Licensed Master Esthetician

Christina is a seasoned licensed esthetician with over 12 years of experience. Prior to receiving her esthetician license from The Elizabeth Grady School of Esthetics in 2013, Christina graduated from the University of New Hampshire with her bachelor’s degree in Family Studies.


Christina specializes in customizing skincare plans for her clients with a welcoming and thoughtful approach. She has additional certifications in dermaplaning, Gua Sha Facials and advanced training from HydraFacial. She’s also an expert in waxing, spray tanning, brow shaping as well as eyelash lift and tinting.

    With her degree in Family Studies and her love of connecting with people, Christina has found her true calling as an Esthetician. She values forming trusting relationships with her clients and provides them with a warm, comfortable and safe environment to put their best face forward.


    Beyond her love of being an esthetician, Christina enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, Johnny and Anna. You can also find Christina at the beach with a book (in between chasing a toddler) or using her aesthetic eye to decorate her home.

Olivia powers

Licensed Master Esthetician

Olivia is an experienced esthetician going into her 9th year of helping clients love the skin they’re in. With her warm and welcoming approach, clients are able to truly sit back, relax and leave feeling better from the inside out.


Olivia found her calling in her teens after having an inspirational esthetician that always left her feeling confident and hopeful. Wanting to share that experience with others, Olivia became a licensed esthetician after graduating from Trident Technical College Esthetics Program in Charleston, SC in 2017.

    Since that time, Olivia has continued to live out her dream of making meaningful connections with her clients while guiding them through personalized skincare treatments. With her advanced certifications in dermaplanning, hydrafacials, microneedling and ZO product expert - you and your skin will be in competent and caring hands!


    Outside of her fulfilling career, Olivia is a proud mom to her daughter, Rayne, whom she and her partner, Kyle, are raising on the South Shore. She has a passion for fashion and is always the one inspiring the team with the latest styles and trends. When she's not at Compass Light, she loves spending quality time with her family and friends.

sophia stearns

Licensed Master Esthetician

Sophia is a talented licensed esthetician with a passion for helping others feel confident in the skin they're in. With her radiant smile and kind, uplifting approach, clients immediately feel welcomed and excited to begin their treatment.


With finding true joy in helping those around her feel their best, most confident selves, Sophia obtained her esthetic certificate from the Spa Tech Institute in 2020. After years of struggling with acne herself, she additionally became a certified acne expert through Face Reality and now specializes in guiding clients on their journey to clear, healthy skin. A few of Sophia's favorite treatments include dermaplaning, Hydrafacials, and perfecting the natural brow.


When Sophia isn't in the treatment room, you'll find her practicing yoga or Pilates, taking scenic walks with her dog, spending quality time with her family and friends, and excitedly planning her dream wedding in Italy in May 2027.
